These two Smartboard presentations are examples of how I would utilize one area of technology within my classroom. One of the lessons was created as an examination of the song Dayenu, sung at the Pesach Seder. The other lesson was utilized to teach a specific mishna from within the mishna curriculum at my schools. Both of these SmartBoard presentations are meant to be interactive, and the different methods utilized are meant to help guide students in a way that will present the content clearly and accurately. While not all of the techniques that I would use are clear from these two presentations, such as the highlighter pen or the text pen, both of these incorporate ways of displaying the content in such a way that would help the students respond to and reflect on the content.
This Prezi presentation was not created to be used within the context of a lesson, but rather was created as part of a final presentation for a course I had taken at Azrieli. I chose to utilize this Prezi as an artifact for three particular reasons.
- Prezi is a tool that I would introduce early on to my students, as it is a fun and exciting way to present information. It could be used to help students who were making presentations or looking for creative ways to display information.
- The activities included within this particular Prezi, including the making of video clips and watching a Ted-Talk, are other ways that I would try to integrate technology into my classroom. Technology has a lot to offer the classroom, especially if though-through and used appropriately.
- I have used Prezi many times over the course of my experience at Azrieli, and have found that it is an exciting way to display information for both adults and children alike. While I would not always use it, so as to not over do it, I enjoy the structure that such a presentation provides.
